Turkey Bowl XVI

Congratulations to Team Thunder Cats (Tamay0) for winning this year's Turkey Bowl.  Despite being down the entire game, the Phantom Wolves (Regala) never quit and managed a late score when Ace ran down the right side of the field for a touchdown!  Great job to all who participated and cheered on their teammates!  It may be hard to lose, but we are grateful to be able to spend time with each other in the G5!!!

Museum of History and Industry

Thank you to all our awesome chaperones who came out with us last Friday to explore our local history museum!  The students participated in a variety of hands-on activities, gallery exploration, and a boat outing to learn about the history of salmon as a resource and the stewardship of salmon populations today.  "This was one of the best field trips ever!!" - student

Congrats Thundercats!!!

Our 2nd Shoda competition consisted of both classes attempting to build a free-standing structure using only index cards and 6 paper clips to hold up a can of beans.  The students work in teams and the team with the highest structure that could hold the can of beans won.  The winning team came from team Thundercats with a structure measuring 19 and 3/4 inches.  Great job to all our teams who participated!  They showed great sportsmanship and G5 esprit de corps!!

Thank you to all the parents who helped make our Halloween party 2019 a success!  The kids had fun and spent a lot of quality time with each other eating, dancing, and hanging out!
