Students learned to love and appreciate Puget Sound on a 5 1/2 hour hands-on scientific expedition aboard the Spirit of 76 floating classroom. They hauled in plankton nets, looked into the invisible watery world in the microscope lab and met their slimy and squishy underwater neighbors and follow along with a team of scientific divers as they explored the depths beneath the boat and introduced us to the animals below with the MSA LIVE underwater video system.
Most importantly, they learned how our daily actions can help protect this magnificent, but delicate ecosystem that we all share.
Thank you to all the chaperones/drivers and curriculum enhancement for funding our trip!
