EEEEEEEK!! Find my body parts (Room 205: Mrs. Molini)
Paleontologists (scientists who study fossils) excavate dead organism’s fossils from many years ago to learn about them. They work together with other scientists to solve mysteries of the past. Many paleontologists may each find one bone, but together they can recreate the skeleton of a dinosaur.
Where in the world…? (Room 204: Ms. Stover)
As we work throughout the year in G5, we will discover what it takes for you to become a global citizen of the world! Through travel, cultural understanding, awareness and respect, we hope you will help contribute to make this world a better place. In Ms. Stover’s room, you will travel to Sierra Leone, West Africa, a place war-torn by rebels, blood diamonds, poverty and now, Ebola. Come learn about this place that is near and dear to Ms. Stover’s heart. We will enjoy a slideshow of this country as well as hear stories about what life is like in Sierra Leone. Many different cultures are represented here at Cherry Crest. We hope you’ll help us celebrate our very own global community within G5, by contributing a special family recipe that represents your culture for our G5 cookbook!

(We may possibly work outside, so please dress appropriately.)
Calligraphy – the art of fine writing (Room 201 – Mr. Sakaue)
Did you know beautiful letters can appear on paper when you intentionally engage your brain, hand, and a ballpoint? If this sounds intriguing, come to Room 201 and join other interested G5 community members. Here you will introduced to and have time to practice two basic lettering styles using specially lined paper to support your practice.
