Students from the G5 got the opportunity to meet each other for the first time via Google chat. The students have been writing to each other since November and were very excited at the thought of seeing each other live on the smartboard. There were a few glitches in terms of sound, but we were still able to communicate using the phone and video.

Festival of Cultures 2014

 

The Festival of Cultures was a great event to celebrate the diversity of our school community!  Thanks to everyone involved in making this event a wonderful experience!  I was able to meet knew people in our community and sample the different foods of our planet... "The pale blue dot..."

Odle Middle School Showcase

You are cordially invited to the Odle Middle School SHOWCASE on Thursday January 23^rd 2014 from 6:30 to 8:30!  Odle Showcase is an evening where you and your student can learn about all the amazing programs at Odle and meet Odle’s terrific teachers!  Showcase is for ALL families – General Education, Special Education, Prism and GMSP.  Everyone is welcome!

 As we have done in the past, you and your student will have the option of 1)  going on a guided tour and learning about all our programs OR 2) doing your own self-guided visitation.  You might choose the guided tour if this is your first child in middle school or if you are unfamiliar with Odle.  You might choose the self-guided visitation if you have had children already go through middle school or if you are already familiar with Odle. 

 Again, we invite all families to the Odle Showcase on Thursday January 23^rd 2014 from 6:30 to 8:30!

Attention 5th Grade Parents! Middle School Information Nights Start THIS MONTH!

Each middle school in the Bellevue School District will host an information evening for fifth grade parents. Although it may seem early, planning for next school year has already begun! Bellevue Big Picture School serves grades 6-12. Students must submit applications and meet eligibility criteria. If we receive more eligible applications than openings for 6th grade, a lottery will be conducted.

6th Grade Applications due by Feb 14, 2014, 3:00 p.m. 6th Grade Lottery Results emailed March 3, 2013. Commitment Response due to BP office Mon., March 17, 2014, 3:00 p.m.

There will be limited availability for 7th-12th grades and applications for these grades will be placed on the waitlist in the order they are received. Students will be contacted as soon as space becomes available.

Please carpool, as parking is very limited. There is no street parking. Overflow parking at WISC (Wilburton Instruction Service Center) 12241 Main St. located between the Botanical Gardens and Wilburton Park with shuttle buses starting at 6:30 pm.
