G5 Turkey Bowl Classic 2013

The 10th Annual Turkey Bowl Classic took place on the Cherry Crest field of glory last Wednesday.  Team Regala battled it out with Team Stover and in the end... when the dust had settled... victory belonged to Team Stover...

Although Team Regala did not prevail, the objective of bringing both classes together to share in each others company, build community, and have fun was achieved!!  Both classes showed great sportsmanship, respect, and esprit de corp!  Well done G5... you represented all things the Shoda Trophy stands for!!

Routes of Exploration to the New World

This week, students worked in groups to create posters demonstrating their learning about one of our eight European explorers who landed in the New World during the 15th and 16th centuries.  This lesson helped students practice: team work, how to research, note-taking, presentation skills and more!  Students will be quizzed on their learning next Tuesday, November 12th. Students, if you are interested in learning more about these explorers, check out the links below to watch a short 2-3 minute biography video clip!   Also, before the test, make sure you take the practice test on History Alive! online (see link below).
