Please read the following from our school principal, Mrs. Ritz regarding Fall Festival/Halloween festivities next Thursday, October 31st:
On Thursday, October 31st, during the last portion of the day, each Cherry Crest classroom will be participating in a Fall Harvest/Halloween Celebration. Each celebration might look a little different depending on the grade level and/or classroom teacher, but there will be consistent expectations in regards to costumes and treats.
If your child would like to wear a costume to celebrate, the costume should be worn to and from school. It is difficult for us to find adequate changing space and adult help in assisting students with costume apparel.
Costumes may not include any blood, guts, gore, or weapons. Students may not wear a face mask of any kind, but face paint is acceptable. Students who arrive at school with a costume that does not meet our requirements or a costume that detracts from the learning environment will be asked to call home for a change of clothes.
If you are concerned about your child participating in any Fall Harvest/Halloween celebration activities, please contact your child’s classroom teacher. We will have alternative plans in place for students during this time.
Please continue to park respectfully with ease of traffic in mind in our parking lot and Cherry Crest neighborhood. Remember, our amazing bus drivers and other community members need to maneuver through the narrow neighborhood streets. Do your part to keep the Cherry Crest streets easy to navigate.
If you should have any questions or concerns, please contact your child’s classroom teacher and/or the main office at 425-456-4900. Thank you for your cooperation and assistance in making our Halloween celebration a success!
