Ms. Lavauris introduced our science unit by demonstrating the reactions between milk, food coloring, and soap.
Color Changing Milk Experiment
Materials:
Plastic plate (with lip)
Milk (the fattier the better; half and half works well)
Food coloring
Dish soap (Dawn works best)
Q-Tips
Procedure:
Pour milk onto plate (a thin layer is fine)
Drop food coloring into milk, about 8-10 drops per color
Dip Q-Tip into dish soap, remove excess soap (a little goes a long way)!
Gently touch one of the color dots and watch. Repeat with each color.
When finished, pour milk mixture down the sink.
So cool... I wish I was there to see it with my own eyes! 👀 I'm gonna try it
