Hi Fatima,
They get smaller because you are taking less than 1 of what you started with.
For example: 1/2 X 1/4 means you are taking half of 1/4.
Half of 1/4 is only 1/8.

Ewww he's hairier then UGH everything. Can u beilive that finding a twilight costume is soo hard and there's a Chukie costume almost in every story I'm like Chukie is soo yesterday why isnt there any Twilight costumes??!!??!?! So I went 2 hot topic and got something 2gethor. I just need my wig and I'm goin 2 get some butterscotch colered conntacs! IDK but the cotacts but I am SURLY getting the wig, for sure for sure!
